VR ZOO

12 ENDANGERED SPECIES.

6 COUNTRIES.

1 MASSIVE LOCATION BASED EXPERIENCE.

The VR Zoo at the Dubai Aquarium was a massive undertaking to record 12 separate endangered species, build a state of the art LBE space and develop a kiosk app to tell the conservation stories of these animals.

The VR Zoo tells the stories of 12 different endangered species, all filmed on location in their natural habitats. Visitors to the aquarium enter custom pods, select three animals on a touch screen and then watch a three minute narrated VR experience for each selection (~10 minute experience). The viewers see the animal in its natural habitat, hear about how it lives and some of the dangers it faces and, for some, what is being done to save the species.

Directed by VArtisan’s Mark Lambert, the project filmed 360 video on land and underwater in Uganda, Tanzania, Egypt, South Africa, Maldives, and Australia.
